Mrs Janet Modupe Omilani went to be with the Lord on 6th April 2025. A year and five months after her transition, her loved ones remembered her as they awarded scholarships to primary school pupils. The six awardees’ journey began with 27 others who wrote the qualifying examination on the 8th of August, 2026.
Many thanks to the management of Esther Gold School in Aare Alaasa, Oloko, Apata, Ibadan, who provided their school hall as the venue for the examination. The examination covered Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. The best three males and females were awarded. On the day of the examination, participants were served snacks during the examination and a good meal with drinks afterwards. The transportation cost to the venue was also subsidized for all participants.
The overall best got an additional 20,000 naira cash prize, bringing the total gift money to N220,000:00K. Thanks to Extension Publishers, who donated textbooks worth more than N150,000. Another publisher gave books worth N30,000 to each awardee.
